This started out as an RAK for a child who has a tumor on his brain stem with brain lesions. I thought it was a young kid, but turns out he's is 13, so back to the drawing board!!
You would not believe what a time I had with this card! This was my first time making clouds, looks like a storms a brewing, then I cut part of the leaves off the tree because I was thinking they wouldn't fit, when I should have just let them hang over, oh well maybe next time.
These are my first High Hopes stamps, but I had to go back and order some more definitely need the greenery and the snake and so on. I love when you can buy the stamps unmounted it's so much cheaper!1
Anyway have a heart and leave me a comment if you like it in the least because I worked on it most of the day. Should have thrown it in the trash hours ago!! LOL!
My friend Ahlim makes some of the most amazing cards I have ever seen. I was inspired by her to stickle the tree, wish I had more colors, I woulda gone nuts, maybe its a good thing!! You can visit her blog here: http://lim-thevoicesinmyheadlimblog.blogspot.com/
In the long run I figured I'd give it to my son, who I call monkey all the time. He may not be to happy with the "chunky" part, but he sure is getting chubby!
Thanks for looking and I hope you like it!! I definitely need photography lessons, it's much brighter and cuter IRL!

Believe me when i tell you this is just a super card: I cant believe how amazing your clouds are; your little guy is stupendous, and that monkey in his tree is totally adorable.

Oh my goodness Purt! This has to be the Blood, Sweat and Tears card of the day! Where do I start? Ok- the clouds! Wonderful. The tree- fabulous! (How did you get it all glittery on the edges?) But the boy and the monkey just steal your heart! You do a beautiful job in coloring and shading. This goes into the favs for sure! Love it!

I think you did a great job with your card! I love all the elements. Your clouds are awesome! I love the "stormy" looking sky. Very realistic. I have all of these jungle stamps (except Wally-don't know how I missed him)! You've done a beautiful card with them - which is more than I can say! It's wonderful! You can tell a lot of work went into it.

Deb - this is great! And it is also perfectly appropriate for the young man we are talking about. He is such a sweetie pie...I know if you decide to send this to him, he will be more than thrilled with it! Just the time you spent on it alone would be worth it, besides #1 HE LOVES TO GET MAIL!!! and #2 it is ADORABLE!!! Send it, girl!
