The description of the Lady Vanessa iris says 'light wine red' so that's the look I'm going for. Using WWC, I colored the petals first with Lovely Lilac and then brushed on some Ruby Red. The result is pretty close to the picture on the internet. I don't often do big square cards, but this iris sure lends itself to that size. The main image is matted several times and then popped up on dimensionals after I added the black organdy ribbon. To add a little interest, I put on the black half pearls.

So gorgeous and elegant!! I love the beautiful shading that you did with the iris!! A lovely square card - my favourite shape - in fact I am working on several right now!! Love it!! Very elegant with the black matting and ribbon!

What a striking creation!!! This is my very favorite size and yes, the Iris is just perfect for this size!!! Your colors and coloring are just amazing here and I love your layout as well!!! What a fabulous job!!! I'm so glad you could play -- thanks so much!!!
