Monday's are laundry, crockpot, and learn a new technique, what a way to start the week! My card is a combination of yesterdays FS, congratulations to Jennifer, what a talented stamper and thank you for the time you give to all of us with your comments! Your gallery was truly filled with visual delights! I chose to case this card...
For the Monday challenge, I stamped my birdie choir (again) onto watercolor paper with walnut stain distress ink and embossed in clear. I used Derwent WC pencils to color the birds. The nest is from Darcie's Country Folk. It was inked with walnut stain and embossed with distress walnut stain ep and also clear. I rubbed it with VersaMagic gingerbread ink and ChalkBox creamy brown. I cut and popped on foam and added twine to fluff the nest. The card base is SU's blush blossom. I used Cosmo Crickets Chicken Little cloud paper for a mat and made my flags with K&cos. Urban Rhapsody double sided papers. The scallop was created with the nestabilities that I cut and pieced. The choir, of course, was born to sing and I decided to finish the card with Flavia stickers declaring just that!
The card is for my friend as a gentle reminder it is time to sing again! Thanks for looking, and I do hope you have time to play today, amongest the piles of laundry, or whatever you find...

Oh, Susan! This is wonderful! The coloring of the birds and the nest is superb! I love the DPs you used, too! What a perfect combination of the two days' challenges!

Love how you put these fabulous birds in the nest! Very nicely done and your cutting is fabulous. I've cut this image out before and I know firsthand how hard it is to get between those little feet and legs
Beautiful card!

Susan, it's another inspiration! Love the colors you chose, love the scallops, and adore what you did with the nest! Love that twine... looks just like the nest just abandoned on my back porch in my bird feeder. Now I can go out there and use it again, but I so enjoyed watching the parents tending so carefully to their young, and then eventually, the babies adventured up to the rim of the feeder, and then they were gone. Isn't it amazing the instinct Gad has put in all His creatures! This card sings to me!
