I needed a Mother's Day card for my Mother-in-law and I thought it would be a good time to break out my From The Garden stamp. She loves Lavender and so I believe I always make her lavender, plum or lilac cards so I choose a completely different colour scheme.
The Magnolia was stamped in StazOn onto Close to Cocoa CS and then only the petals were painted with bleach. Once it dried, I went in with chalks, and then used my new watercolor crayons on the leaves. Then I cut out the image and sprayed it with acrylic sealer (which did dull the brightness of chalks). I did cut out some of the tips of the petals and put dimensionals behind the. I did add a bit of chalk on the mustard CS at the top of the flower to highlight it and I added in dots around border with my 3-D pens to add a bit of interest - not sure if you can see either in the photo.

Wow is that ever striking! The flower just jumps from the card, very cool.
