This card is for the Fossil Stone Technique card swap hosted by hauvie (Stephanie).
I had never heard of, let alone tried, this technique before this swap, but since my good friend Jane wanted to try it out, I thought I'd give it a try too. And now that I have, I'm definitely trying it again because it created such a great effect!! You have to try it! Forums at Splitcoaststampers
I used the Distressing Inks (Viintage Photo and Walnut Stain) for the two colors and then stamped the snowflakes over the effect in Chocolate Chip. Love how it turned out!

Gorgeous card - love how the sentiment is shadow-stamped and that little angel is just great with the highlighting behind her. Awesome! Must go learn about the fossil stone technique...

What a great card. I love the non-traditional colors and how you shaded behind the angel. And that fossil-stone technique is certainly interesting and effective. I definitely want to try that! Beautiful card........
