Well, finally, here is my card for last week's color and sketch challenges. We got a new puppy a week-and-a-half ago, and I haven't had a chance to upload until now. I needed to make one more Mother's Day card, and I thought the colors and sketch would be perfect!
I used my nestabilities to make the oval and scalloped oval panels. The main image is from Bloomin' Beautiful and is stamped on whisper white cs. I colored it in with prismacolors and mineral spirits. I sprayed the panel with irridescent gold Glimmer Mist. The small strip on the inside right of the card is purely pomegranate and is matted with basic black. I stamped the flourish from Baroque Motifs on the pomegranate with basic black ink. The main cover of the card is soft sky and is matted with basic black cs. I stamped the Polka Dot bg on the soft sky with pomegranate ink. The sentiment (from Inkadinkado) was stamped on soft sky cs in basic black ink. I punched it out with the designer label punch and sponged pomegranate ink around the edges. I also sprayed this layer with the Glimmer Mist. I added a styled silver label holder around the sentiment piece. On the folded back strip along the right side of the card front, I ran a piece of soft sky double stitched ribbon. I added some half pearls (from the Pretties Kit) along ribbon, below the oval panels. I also added half pearls in three of the corners of the card front.
I'm not thrilled with how this card came out, but I figured I might as well upload it since I took all the time to make it. I think I would leave off the pearls on the ribbon if I did this again. Thanks for looking!
