When I saw today's sketch challenge I cringed. Oh no CIRCLES. But once I got going I absolutely LOVE this sketch challenge.
This card is for my DD. She is tall, slender and beautiful. I had to have this set because it reminded me of her. It is such a struggle for teen girls. Others can be so mean. Right now she is feeling that sting of cruelty. SO this card is dedicated to all those beautiful girls out there. YOU ARE ALL THAT.....Don't let anyone else tell you differently.
I love this designer paper. Just got it from Jacksonbelle Embellishments. It is so pretty.
Thank you so much for an awesome challenge and thanks so much for looking. Give those teen girls out there a big hug......

what a great card--and the inspiration behind it, your DD--I know what you mean about cruelty--why are girls so mean to each other??? Great job at reminding her that she is all that!! I have to do that with my DD as well!!

Oh, what a wonderful idea. My DD is going to be 13 in August ... luckily so far she's not had any girlie-nastiness ... but I remember when I was about 15 ... OH MY! Good for you for cheering your DD on ... she's a lucky, lucky girl to have a mum like you.
BTW ... cute card too!!! LOL

I so love the inspiration behind your card, Dawn. I would never want to have to go back to my teen years and how mean other girls can be to each other. I was so stunned to actually witness on the news one day a couple weeks ago several girls caught on videotape beating up another girl. It broke my heart. Sounds like your daughter has a wonderful, supportive mom in you.
I definitely know that this gorgeous ribbon absolutely pops the silhouetted image, and I love the mixture of dp you used on your beautifully inspired card. I bet your DD will love it!
