My 12 yr old son asked me to make a card for his friend's Mom as she was taking them all to the movies tonight! (He's happens to have a crush on her daughter too!!) So I made this quick ten minute card for her! The inside has a Mothers day sentiment, and a hand written note thanking her.
What way do you adhere ribbon,I would love to know?!

Thanks for the comments, Im tickled..."pink"!!! LOL I just had to say it! What so funny is that usually, I am too obsessed when I make cards and they take FOREVER! And this was truly the fastest card I ever made!! I think I learned a lesson...

Thank you for this wonderful, lovely AND fast 'n' easy idea!!!!! I did this for a Thin Within group I lead, and they loved it!!! We made them into Mothers Day cards and wedding cards!!!
You asked how to adhere ribbon... First, instead of using ribbon for the band between the white and the pink, I used a narrow strip of cardstock. That was much sturdier than ribbon, and easier to apply. Then we adhered pre-made bows with two glue dots, one behind each loop of the bow. (One dot would not have been sturdy enough; it would too easily have rotated.) That said, if you really want to use ribbon for the band instead of CS, I find it easiest to make it about 1/2" longer on each side so that a little piece can be tucked behind (in this case) the pink piece, and you don't have raw edges anywhere. Glue stick works fine for this, but BE CAREFUL to not place it any wider than your ribbon, or your fingers will pick up glue ~ and put it back down *somewhere* on the card or bow. Sticky strip would also work nicely, but is more expensive. I generally use my Snail adhesive.
There, more than I'm sure you wanted to know! :-)
