Hi! This Binoculars case was made for today's Inspiration Challenge: Safari Adventure...
Elizabeth and Ellenor the Elephant are just out for a sight seeing Safari, so I noticed that Elizabeth doesn't have a Binoculars case! OH, NO!!!
So....I made the case!LOL! Simple instructions will be my blog...However, the tutorial will be posted on Sunday...Sorry...Have to take my pets...all 8 to the vet!!! Can you imagine??? In the mini van??? Kinda like my OWN safari!!!
The paper measurements are 7"x 11" and score long ways at 1 1/2" and at 5 1/2". I turned the paper and scored at 4 3/4" and at 6 1/4".
The flap is 4" x 5" and is score short side at 2 1/4" and 3 3/4". I used an oval coluzzle to round off the edges.
I then scrunched up the paper to make it look like old leather and then rubbed a Creamy Caramel ink pad ALL over it!!!
I attached the handles and flap with the Crop a Dile and Jumbo EYELETS BEFORE I put the box together!!! The box pretty much just fits together like the totes that you can find in the resource area here.
Here is a link to the tutorial:
Elizabeth was stamped 2 times. I stamped her on Very Vanilla and colored her body and pants. Then, I stamped her on Creamy Caramel, wrinkled the paper and buffed with Creamy Caramel ink. I cut out the shirt and paper pieced it!
Ellenor the Elephant was stamped twice onto Basic Gray and then shaded with a Going Gray marker! I filled in the tusks and toenails with Signo Pen. The head was cut and paper pieced.
The sentiment was torn and distressed.
The ovals were cut with the Coluzzle, and then distressed!
