I originally experimented with my Big Blossom stamp and Tim Holtz crackle paint (that's acryllic right??) for the Ways to Use it challenge last week, but I left it on my counter because I wasn't too sure of how it looks (or to be honest, how I made it!!) But when I saw a few cards of Sparklegirl's with a big blossom displayed so beautifully, I was inspired! I cased this card called Love and Happiness seen here:WT160 Love and Happiness by sparklegirl at Splitcoaststampers
I changed the colors and papers, and placed 3 panels behind the flower instead of 2. Changed the placement of "for you" to the opposite side.
The flower was created by (to the best of my recollection!) covering navy paper with crackle paint in Mustard seed, then stamping Big Blossom while it was wet. I then let it dry, then stamped Aida Cloth background with old linen and brown ink over the top so just a hint of it would be picked up. I think I ran my blue distress inks over it at the end?!
Congratulations Sparklegirl...love your gallery, and your great sketches to be inspired by!
