I stamped the cardstock with the clouds then the tree scene. Since the card wasn't covered I used selected trees from the Lovely As a Tree Stamp at both sides. Then I colored the picture using green, brown, & blue water color pencils then used the white to accentuate the clouds and the ripples in the water. Then I used yellow to add the essence of sunlight through the middle. I put the brads into the corners after glueing the blue & black cardstock together. Then I glued that to a ready made card blank which I purchased at Michaels with envelopes. Josh couldn't believe I had made this card.

This is just beautiful! I've been tempted to buy a stampscape stamp, your card has inspired to check their site again. I'm so glad your grandson is stateside.

I am most greatful for all your wonderful comments. We are glad to have him home and I hope it is for good. His younger brother is due to go out as a "Medic" in three months or so. (I borrowed those stampscapes from my daughter, ninarose.)
