This is for today's Inspiration Challenge IC124. Which you can find here: Forums at Splitcoaststampers We had some gorgeous fabric and a beautiful quilt to be inspired by. Almost makes me want to take up quilting. NOT!
This is also Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge WSC44. Which you can find on her blog here: Blogs at Splitcoaststampers
I thought the two went so well together, because the sketch reminded me of a quilt square. I also was inspired by the beautiful colors of the fabric. I used my Afternoon Tea DSP and my Live Your Dream set for the first time, on this card! The flowers are lifted with Dimensionals. I inked them up with Groovy Guava and then ran my Apricot Appeal marker through the center and around the edges, to give them extra dimension. I used the Certainly Celery marker to ink the leaves and stem and then added some Garden Green to the leaves for more color. I was trying for the Shabby Chic look and roughed of the edges of the stamped panel with my distressing tool.
Thanks for looking!
Happy Saturday!
