This is for CC162, Groovy Guava, Blush Blossom and Basic Gray. I just got my parcel with the Guava and Gray yesterday, so had to play!
You won't need three guesses to work out who this was inspired by, right? I love Faith's work, it's always so rich and vibrant.
I started with the hedgehog coloured in and matted with nesties. Got stuck. The dots started calling. I tried to resist, I really did! But they were insistent. So, I dotted. The rest of the card came easy, those dots are magic, and addictive!
The image was coloured with ink pads and a blender pen. The Blush layer was cuttlebugged (finally got this folder...love it) then I lightly dragged a Guava sponge accross to highlight the embossing. Layers were sponged with Guava. I used a Basic Gray marker, White gel pen and Diamond Stickles for the dotting.
The Butterfly wings also were Stickled. If you have the Diamond Stickles, try it with Guava, it looks great IRL. The ribbon was a discount store find, it matches Blush perfectly - love it when that happens (I'm going to start carrying my card stock ring in my purse. Addicted much?)
I'm missing at least one layer of ribbon and some coloured black hodepodge, but I hope this does a teeny bit of justice to Faith's cool style! TFL!
