I have to say triple WOW and thanks to Judy, her friend Becky and our hostess Beth for a super FUN double pocket challenge! Can you tell I'm excited?!!! I got so much joy playing this morning...here's the result:
My card base is part of MMME's 29th St Market group PEACEFUL "LIFE". The front is lively scroll and the back that yummy aqua is called Fountain of YOUTH! It is so beautiful and just perfect for my design. I began with the B-Line sentiment BEAUTY is SOUL deep...stamped in Tim Holtz distress black soot and embossed in clear. The vintage bracket is an um from Purple Onion Design (I'm pretty sure, help me out Michellle, if not). I love the tiny detail within the bracket. It is popped on foam. In my pockets I wanted to put mirrors. The very large peacock hand mirror is by Tin Can Mail. I inked it in ColorBox peacock gold and embossed it with Embossing Antiquities verdigris. I stamped "Laughing deeply is living deeply" on the back of the mirror with dragonfly black ink. The Museum of Modern Rubber hand mirror is stamped on grey cs with Versamark and embossed with Filigree fine art powder 'Midas Platinum'. It has a mirror paper on the reverse set into another stamping of the mirror. I've used this before in pull-outs. You can actually see your reflection! I made use of the crop-o-dile to secure the edges, right side with brass flowers and red brads and teh left side with hand tied cotton cord, a vintage button and brass button brad. The remember is matted on black...it is an enamel sticker from K&co.
I hope those who look at my beauty treatments are reminded that every freckle, every twinkle in the eye, every wrinkle are just beauty marks and evidence of what's within!!!

Susan, I could tell that this was your card right away in the gallery. I love the mirror insert. I like how you have the handle facing outward. Great card.

Susan, this is amazing! I love how you secured both sides of the card, and the goodies you tucked in to each pocket are just precious, but best of all, I LOVE that sentiment! I'm checking my wrinkles right now and thanking God for every one, because many of them are the marks that make me remember that He brought me through an accident that humanly speaking was supposed to kill me, but He had other plans. My scars and wrinkles are my soul marks! Thanks for this wonderful reminder to all of us!
