I was at my sisters house and watched her black cat, Onyx, sit in the window just like this. So when my sister had her birthday in October, I sent her this card to remind her of the moment.
I received my pattern from an online site and traced it onto the Apricot Appeal and then cut it out. Next I used dotto to temporarily adhere the moon, window sill, and the window sashes in place. Flip the card over and trace the cat on the back of the cardstock that covers the cat cut out. Take the moon (a 3" circle), window sill and sashes off and cut off the areas that will interfere with the cat cut out. Follow the typical iris twist instructions. Adhere your moon. Stamp on your pine tree branch images. Then adhere your window sills and sashes. You are done!

Wow, your sister must love this card. Thanks for sharing the details for cutting the background, you can see a lot of work went into it, and it's beautiful!
