Ever feel card challenged? Boy I did, all day long. I was trying to use the color combo, which actually reminds me of my kids Gymboree cloths when they were younger.... much younger. ha ha!
I really wanted to capture some of the words from my tres chic background stamp, so I used my Nestabilities square to cut and emboss it. I used a little red star eyelet, which is also for today's challenge to highlight "HOPE". I should back up a little, this is for a friend who gave our family some
"hope" at a really rough time, and I just wanted to say thanks!
I cut the next layer again with Nestabilities, and found a scrap I had of white that was already embossed, so I HAD to use it! What started as one slit punched, I had planned to put an eyelet there and put some ribbon on it, but messing around I cut a few more together, and made a little scallop that I could slide my white card stock into.... How cool is that. I like that it mimics the scallop.
I also have scads of this red ribbon around and it is so cute, so I thought it would balance all that green.
I stitched around the edge of the navy just to break it up a bit and lighten it up.... it is Spring after all...or trying to be.. ha ha !
Hope you like!

I'm lovin the simplicity of this card. It exudes elegance and you couldnt ask for more than that! Great way you worked with what I think are difficult colors.

What a great idea to use an eyelet to accentuate a word. Very creative. I do know what you mean about struggling with what you want to do. It can be nerve racking!

I'm liking all of the elements! My favorite is the white stitching looks great on the navy.
