The chicks in her card reminded me of my Penny Black stamps, and this one was the right shape so I could keep the layout. I didn't have any pearl brads, so I used what I had. I didn't have any black brads that were my first thought, but I did have red ones. So I used those and added "washers" of black cardstock behind the red brads, which gave me enough black to make me happy. I stacked the ribbons to add interest and more textures. I really like the clean look of this!
