The photo I chose to play from for the Inspiration Challenge can be seen here.
Thanks for the challenge Stef!
I used the pink and the accent of black and since I didnÂ’t have anything oriental I went with the flower on the headboard and used my daisy. I tried to stay with the boxed print throughout the cardÂ…IÂ’m just not sure I like it that wellÂ…LOL!
-The image was colored with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits then masked off to stamp on the squares with the pink ink and also some smaller squares using Brilliance moonlight white which gives a little shimmer. For the pink I repeated stamping until the ink was used up.
-The square tabs are from a Cuttlebug die cut and the smaller is a ½” square punch from EK Success.
-The border punch is from Marvy and I left a flat space for the ribbon when embossing with the Cuttlebug panel. I measure and tape it down using reusable blue painters tape before running it through the embossing machine.
-The ribbon is tied first and I slipped the two short pieces in before pulling the knot tight then the ends are taped to the back.

Roxie...this is just precious. The bottom edge reminds me of the white lattice you see in gardens....very appropriate with your pretty flowers! Awesome card!

Wonderful inspriation card Roxie! Love the idea of using painters tape to measure off an unembossed area for your ribbon. I usually have to go flatten mine off after the fact so this was a great tip! Love the card! I wasn't going to do the challenge because I didn't think I'd like any card I'd make from it enough to give it to anyone but you have given me reason to reconsider! Very pretty!
