This is my entry for the Hanna Stamps release party color challenge, where we had to use a shade of plum, Always Artichoke, and Basic Grey.
I started with my grey cardstock and used the Negative Cuttlebug technique with the Swiss Dot folder and craft white ink. Even though it did not turn out the way I had envisioned with would...I loved it! It has an almost silvery look to it IRL.
I stamped Hanna twice, once on white cardstock, then again on the patterned paper to paper piece her dress. After cutting Hanna out I colored her in using a combination of ink pads, WW pencils, and copics. I softened the pencils with an aquapainter. Seeing Hanna amidst all of that green and plum convinced me to let her go red today, so she stopped at the salon to get some auburn hair...lol!
I could not find any ribbon that matched my colors, but I had some cheap ribbon that I dyed with Orchid Opulence, then I rinsed the ribbon out and repeated the process until I got the color I wanted.
When I started putting the layout together I wanted a little something extra on the Pale Plum, so I embossed the hat boxes using Hologram Highlights EP.
This was such a fun challenge! I hope to get to play in more of them. Thanks for looking....
