This is a technique I learned a few years ago at an "Altering Dominoes" class. It doesn't have a name, but the way they turn out looks like a negative of the stamp. Here's the technique. . .
1. Cover domino with chalk ink
2. Heat set with a heat gun
3. Put domino in the refrigerator to let it get cold
4. Stamp on an image using the same color of ink
5. Let sit for 30 - 40 sec., then wipe off
stamped ink with a soft dry cloth or tissue.
6. Seal if desired
On 4 of the dominoes I used Krylon pens around the edges, and on the centers of the flowers on the pink ones. The mustard colored donimo has microbeads. All were sealed with Diamond Glaze.

These are TOO cool!! Am going to try this technique as soon as I can get to the store for some domino's!!
If you don't have the CHALK inks? (which I don't)..could you use the S-UP classic inks? Wasn't sure if they'd work on a slick surface such as the domino's? If not, how about the alcohol inks? (which I'll have to get...) LOL..
Great idea and I think the possibilites for altering these would be endless!!

Thanks for the instructions on this technique.I liked yours so much I tried it out today and they came out pretty good. My husband was intrigued by the process and in the middle of a creative burst my heat gun died and I had to run out and get a new one.
