A fellow stamping buddy and co-worker is celebrating her birthday this week, and I wanted to make her a bright and cheerful birthday card. I decided to go with this color challenge (Ballet Blue, Real Red and Apricot Appeal). Isn't it fun?! I think this gnome is so darn cute! This sketch, by the way, is Beate's 39th sketch challenge. My card base is Ballet Blue stamped with the Crosshatch background stamp in Ballet Blue ink. I stamped the gnome on watercolor paper with Jet Black StazOn. I colored him with my Aquapainter and SU markers. I doodled a squiggly frame around him with my Ballet Blue marker, highlighted the strawberry seeds with my Stardust Gelly Roll Pen and layered it on Real Red and Apricot Appeal cs. I added some Hodpgepodge hardware and adhered the panel to the card base. I stamped the sentiment with Ballet Blue on watercolor paper, added a Twinkle Sticker and layered it on Real Red and Apricot Appeal cs. (Each layer is separated by a Dimensional.)
This card just makes me smile every time I look at it. I think she'll like it.

Regina, this is so darn cute! I love that little knome!!! Great birthday colours and your doodling looks like it's part of the stamp, like a frame! Awesome...I love it!
