This set has been on my wish list since I saw Beate's snail card. I made some wax resist glossy paper while ironing on brownie Try it patches last night (the only time the iron ever makes an appearance in the house). I got my stamp set yesterday, mounted it last night and started watercoloring while watching 24 (Jack Bauer kicks BUTT!)...
I love blue, as did my late MIL (one of the many things that made us so close to one another). That was her color - and when DH had a choice between a Red or Blue SUV, he called and I asked him what his mom would have wanted him to get. He came home with the blue one - and since it had to be named - he let the girls name it. They chose Blue butterfly - so we call it the Butterfly for short now... This is my blue butterfly card (dh is gonna love it!)...
I used ballet blue and the brayer on the background (white glossy with the melted wax paper). Prismacolor watercolor pencils (need to get the SU ones)...and a blender pen, then sponged on the edges, mounted on basic black. Black gingham. Circle tag sponged with ballet blue. Tied to the basic black with silver cord. I used my BB su marker to outline the tag, just next to the silver.
