Well here's today's challenge card. My inspiration was that beautiful little teapot that was given to me by my mother one year for Christmas, I just LOVE it. I really couldn't find a current set that I owned that would have done this challenge justice and I thought of this rose from the retired set Flower Garden immediately when I decided to use this teapot for my inspiration piece. I used the age-old polished stone technique with pale plum, perfect plum, purely pomegranate and gold for the background piece. I did the rose image by stamping in gold Encore, embossing in gold EP, coloring in with pale plum, perfect plum, green galore and glorious green watercolor crayons. I daubed (is that a word?) a little purely pomegranate on top to bring out the reddish hue. I covered the rose with a thin layer of Crystal Effects. For the hardware, I smooshed a silver piece from my Hodgepodge hardware into my gold encore pad until it was covered in gold, sprinkled with gold EP, embossed and added gold brads. (BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL AS THE METAL GETS HOT!) I sponged around the very vanilla pieces with vanilla craft ink to give it some age. Phew! I think that's it.

What a sweet little teapot and what a lovely interpretation in your card. Great job.
