Hello, for Easter I made easter baskets for all the kids in my family & some teachers at my daughters school. I have been collecting peanut cans for awhile!
I covered the cans with DP. cut out ovals with the nestabilities, I layered a white plain oval on a coloured scalloped oval. I also used a tiny hole punch on the scallops (didn't know I missed one til I looked at the pics!)
I stamped the chick on the white with basic gray, then on barely banana, & twice on dotted DP for the shell. I coloured the chicks beak with only orange marker, glued the chick in place so it lined up with the hair then glued the shell on lining up with the legs!
My original plan was to put eyelets on the sides to thread the ribbon thru for a handle, but most of my cans had too wide a lip inside for the crop-a-dile to get over. So I ended up knotting the ends of the ribbon, and gluing them to the outside with a hot glue gun.
For the bunnys, I used 'Bunny Nuggets #5531' from CDstamps. I stamped the bunny faces on white cs with basic grey & coloured the ears in with marker. I stamped the body in various soft subtle colours onto address labels. They are so cute! You can see the body better in picture #2.
