I started playing with the sketch for this week's challenge, and decided to make my main image extend to the two background panels as well. To elaborate, I stamped the lighthouse on the first panel, while it lay upon the third panel, so the base of the lighthouse is stamped on both panels. I further extended this image by extending the sea and sky onto all three panels.
The ocean was created by sponging different shades of blue ink and then applying Liquid Applique with my finger and dabbing it while it was wet. I think this muted the blue even further and created "swells" of the ocean. I added Crystal Effects to the light of the lighthouse.
The sky is created by using "cloud masks" over all three panels that I created with Post-Its and then sponging grey, blue, and yellow ink.
I matted all three panels and then adhered them together over the BG DP. The "rope" at the bottom is created with a nylon shoelace.
This was a true challenge for me, but it makes me feel good when what is in this crazy brain of mine, actualizes on paper. TFL

What a beautiful lighthouse image - and I love how it extends out onto the rest of the sketch!! Really a gorgeous card!!! Love your rope - such a creative touch!
