What a terrific gallery Becky has! After much enjoyable browsing, this is the one I chose to case: Paisley Palm by BeckyTE at Splitcoaststampers
I changed the stamps and the colors (slightly) but kept the general palm tree theme and layout.
The palm tree (Magenta) and sentiment (Stampendous) are stamped w/ the B&J rainbow pad onto vanilla. The top of the tree was stamped twice and a few of the fronds were cut out, layered and slightly popped up on top of the original. I cut around the top of the tree and attached to bordeaux c/s which had been stamped w/ a crackle stamp (Magenta) and bleach. Dots were done w/ a gold gel pen and it was edged w/ a gold Krylon.
The bg was done w/ one of those moldable foam stylus thingies (Clearsnap) and it was heated w/ a lightbulb and pressed against a paisley stamp (Stampendous). The plain foam tip was stamped around first using a pale yellow pigment ink, then a lt blue pigment ink. The paisley impressed tip was then stamped over these w/ a chianti (or which ever is the dk red in the petal point) and a darker blue.
I added the brads and attached all of this to a bordeaux colored note card. Highlights were drawn w/ a gold gel pen. TFL

This is the kind of card I see and I wonder how you guys do such magnificent things! I consider myself a good stamper, but wow, you are AWESOME! This card ROCKS! Great job, and TFS!

I couldn't follow how you did this -- my brain isn't working too well this evening, I guess -- but the result is just stunning! Love the colors and the images and the details. Just beautiful!

Wow. This is just gorgeous! Love the colors you chose...I am much more a blue person than a green person...probably why these palms are so appealing to me! Lovely!

This is wonderful! I am gonna have to case this one. Love the way you cut out the fronds and popped them. And that paper is so rich and exotic looking. Thanks for playing along today.
