My son's 11 year old friend worked very closely with me on the design and making of this box - it was for his Valentine. He never tired or complained and he knew exactly what he wanted! Pull the correct ribbon on the lid and there's a secret tag. (It was a tough one).
3D Flowers:
Flowers are punched out of lightweight pink card (using a 5 petal large flower punch). Tint edges with burgundy ink. Cut between one set of petals to centre and glue one petal onto the other. This dimensions the flower.
Cut a strip of pink card about 15mm x 50mm and make fine slashes all the way along. Tint edge with burgundy ink. Roll strip tightly and feed through a pierced hole in centre of flower. Crystal glitter outer edges.

I'm new to SCS (joined March 14th) and I think I've just discovered I can post a reply - I'll know if it pops on!
I would like to say thank you all for your encouraging comments - they mean a lot.
I am hoping to post a tutorial because sharing my love of crafting and techniques I've learnt along the way is very important to me.
SCS is fantastic!
