No tools!!! What is a girl to do??? That was today's limited supplies challenge- no tools allowed! We could used standard scissors, paper cutters, sponges- but NO specialty tools (punches, tearing edge, cuttlebug, etc.). I actually had a lot of fun with this challenge, I found it a lot easier to decide what I wanted to make since I did not have to sort through all of those tools!
I actually started this card with the ribbon, from Theater Ribbon Originals. I thought that my new Bloomin' Beautiful set would go nicely with the ribbon. I stamped the sentiment directly on the ribbon with very vanilla craft ink, I really like the effect of it! The main bg layer is very vanilla cs and I stamped the En Francais bg on it in mellow moss ink. This layer is matted with mellow moss cs. The hydrangea image is stamped on watercolor paper and I colored it using Julie Buhler's (reneejul1) No Copics??No Problem!! tutorial, here is the link: http://paperpleasing.typepad.com/my_...ics-no-pr.html. I LOVE this technique and her tutorial is awesome! I sponged mellow moss ink around the edges of the watercolor paper panel and matted it with mellow moss cs.
This was a pretty quick and easy card, the coloring is the only part that took awhile. I hope you like it and thanks for looking!
