Now don't laugh at me please, but I was always a little different than my peers. I missed 5th and sixth grades coz I had operations on my legs and was tutored for an hour a day and got to be an only child during those hours when my 3 sibs were at school, AND I learned to GALLOP on crutches. I was the first to wear wooden clogs in 7th grade (legs were all healed by then)and everyone teased me, I had children in the lowest birthrate years for many decades,so when my friends were out at discos I was home breastfeeding and watching Mr. Rogers with my babies.(Probably divine intervention going on here...) etc. So I sometimes felt a little lonely and outside the norm.
Don't get me wrong, I would not trade a minute of any of it, I am just EXPLAINING a little bit about myself. And since we say stamping is cheaper than therapy, although I have passed that point monetarily, you are all my therapists! BWAHAHAHAHA!!! Poor things... Anyway, I saw this peacock feather and thought of this card and I hope you all enjoy it. And if you want to send me a bill for the therapy, pm me your address and I will send you a rak!

Aww, so cute NancyRuth, and what a touching story!! That is part of what makes you the wonderful and fun but so good hearted person that you are!!! Yes, be yourself without apology!! What good advice. And hey - I'll put it out there - when I was young - my front teeth grow in with a huge huge overbite. Kids called me sabre tooth tiger , and buck toothed beaver - and it wasn't nice at all - but I was a brave and friendly kid.. I got braces ASAP - which was in grade 5 - so I took my fair share of teasing - but it's all good now!!! And - we are more compassionate people for it!!!'
As for having babies early - me too - my first at almost 24 - my friends were all finishing up university.. and I was married with a child - but hey - it's all good!! So - now I am 47, have two great sons, and a 25 year happy marriage!
Great card... love the sentiment - and the feathers!! luvs ya NancyRuth!!!

That's what we love about ya, Nancy! You are your own person and are so friendly and funny! Never apologize for who you are! I think we probably all have stories of how we felt like we just didn't fit in with the crowd.
A friend of mine (many years ago) use to raise peacocks and bring me some of the most beautiful peacock feathers. I love that you put a peacock feather on your adorable little birdie, and he looks most happy to have it!

Nancy, you are one of the most fun, most thoughtful, most happy go lucky, most creative people at SCS and it's because you are you! So, it's wonderful that you are and have no need to offer apology! Your witty ways bring happiness to all....like yesterday with your comment on my technique challenge failure card! You my friend are priceless and SCS would not be the same with out you!
I know because when you had your surgery recently and had gone missing....it simply was not the same! I can vouch for that! Hugs......
