oh wasn't your challenge a scream this week, Sharon...check it out notimetostamp.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/2008/03/07/stamp-simply-challenge-25-fun-flap/
Is there anyone who doesn't love Lucy and her antics? While this took way longer than I would ever admit to...it was soooo much fun. My LuCY is an unknown WM which I stamped on white cs in Heritage Sepia and colored her screaming red hair with PrismaColor pencils and gamasol. Don't look too hard...it's a bad dye job...some of the color stained her forehead...what like that's never happened to you?!
I paper pieced her house dress with MME new plaid papers and added ear bobs (MM jewel brads) She is mounted on ovals from a Marvy punch, several layers built up. I polka dot bow frames my red-haired beauty. My fun flap is an unknown piece of turquoise cs that I folded in half and stamped the checkered frame(All Night Media) in Adirondack espresso. The over the top sentiment is new from Wordsworth...also stamped in the espresso and embossed in clear ep. I used Costco plaid stash DP for several of my layers along with SU cameo coral. At the bottom, I just had to add the tv from Crafty Secrets Favorite Fellas set...I inked it in Versacolor black and embossed in clear. on the screen are happy words from the stamprite self inkers and MM magnetic words.
I love my big mouthed gal...how 'bout you...

Susan, this is fabulous!!!! I am not sure which is more amazing....the fact that you have a Lucille Ball stamp....which you colored perfectly...mind you.....and captured her signature hair color beautifully......but you had the creative genius to use bling brads for EARBOBS!!!!!!! Hello!!!! Fabulous work......wonderful card!!!!

No! No way....I getta be Lucy! No fair....I have always wanted to be Lucy. You be Ethel....Ethel is married to Fred and he's alot easier to understand...don't you wanna be Ethel? Please be Ethel.....Besides...I heard Ethel's kitchen was just remodeled.....Lucy's still has old stuff in it and its still in avocado green! You be Ethel!!!! Ricky's socks stink!
I LOVE your Lucy! Her hair is da bomb and sorry to say but that is exactly something Lucy would do, die her forehead. But the funny part would be when she has to think up a scheme to keep that little incident a secret from Ricky because he doesn't know she dies her hair and in real life she is salt and pepper gray!!! She will probably just tie a huge black and white polka dotted bow at her hairline....Bwahaha!
Thanks for pointing it out. I did not want to miss this! Giggle!
You did such a great job!

boy oh boy, the stamps you have!! I love Lucy!!! You know, you take me back to when I was young.. When I was sick - in grades 1 and 2 or so - I Love Lucy was on in the morning for me to watch while I was sick!! Even when I was 6 or 7 - Lucy was so stupid she got on my nerves!!! I'm just dying of laughter when I think of that. What a picky highbrow - minded child I was!! LOL!!! I think I may have matured into stupidity. Well, it's a lot more fun!
