I just love having an Uncle Bert - I just like the name "Bert" it's sort of old fashioned, like an old Andy Griffith Mayberry thingy!
I made this for Uncle Bert's Birthday and had wanted to add a little something special to it that was personal - so I thought a photo of someplace I'd been - someplace that had a little history to it.
The Story: The backdrop behind the deer is a photo I took while we were in Lake George, New York last summer. While in Lake George we rode on a bike trail that follows a centuries old trail from the French and Indian War. This trail later became a plank toll road and then became a railbed for the Delaware Hudson Railroad Electric Trolley Line and is today a beautiful bike trail.
The photo was then changed to a Watercolor in Adobe Photoshop and printed on a textured cardstock.
Thanks for looking!
