This is my FIRST EVER challenge, and it may be an "old" technique, but to me it's new, coz EVERYTHING'S new!!! I have no idea if I did it well or not, but IRL I like how it looks. The only problem is that the vellum puckered just a bit. I sponged lightly on vanilla CS with only the sentiment area masked off, to give just a hint of color behind the vellum. What do you all think?

so very lovely and congratulations on the challenge...while it was your first, I'm sure it won't be your last! I like the puckered look, my big tulip did the same thing.

This was your first challenge? Congratulations and what an outstanding card to do for your 1st challenge. You're one very brave card creator: this is gorgeous. Looks like you've mastered another new technique. Good for you.

Thanks to everyone for the very kind comments. pencha, I'm slow I guess, but it took me probably an hour and a half, but part of that was inking only part of the stamps, then placing around the circle, as the one flower is a "straight" design and I had to adapt it to the circle, which I did by just doiing part of the stamp at a time, then re-placing it, then inking the next part... so that was time consuming. The debossing itself went fairly quickly, considering how many flowers I had to do. It was a fun technique to learn. I'm very glad I finally took the leap and did a real challenge!

Congrat's on your first challenge...they addicting...but ever so fun! Your card is simply elegant. I love your colour choice and how the flowers frame your sentiment. Lovely.
Well, I think we're all pretty darn lucky that you joined the challenge today - your card is just beautiful. You did a wonderful job on embossing all those little flowers then coloring them it. I like how you have the circle cut out with the sentiment inside and the touch of color behind the vellum was the perfect touch.
Thanks so much for joining us and playing today!
p.s. Just went back and read that you say you were "slow" LOL - LOL - you have no idea how long my card took - the vellum piece you see on my card is the fourth piece of stamped vellum - and that almost got thrown out because it had a dash of ink on it that got smeared. Just an FYI - I've been scrapping and stamping for about 10 years - they all take me a long time! Come back and play some more challenges!
