This is one of five identical cards that I made for a group of women that attended a recent workshop I was demonstrating at. I just love this little set! I wanted to use some of my Bali Breeze paper because I don't seem to be able to figure out what to do with it.
I started with the Taken with Teal base, then ran the Rose Red piece through the Cuttlebug using the D'vine Swirl folder. I inked the edges of the patterned paper with teal ink, and then pulled from the colors in it to come up with the mats of Old Olive and Rose Red. The image was stamped using Basic Black, then lightly colored with WW pencils and blended using a blender pen. I sponged some of the olive ink on the edges of the cardstock before matting it.
I wanted to add a couple of cuter elements to the card, so I put some glue on the heart to add Dazzling Diamonds to it. Then I grabbed a ribbon slide from the Silver Hodgepodge Hardware and ran some Tempting Turquoise ribbon through it. I adhered that to the card using a third of a pop-up glue dot.
All in all a fun, easy card to complete, and I am already thinking of all the ways to use the other little figures in this set.
Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!
