This is a birthday card for my friend Linda who is totally obsessed with horses. (And luckily, has a good sense of humor! :-D) It's for Color Challenge 155, Black, White, and River Rock. I didn't have River Rock, so subbed. Sahara Sand.
The card base is stamped with Fine Lace BG in Brilliance Graphite Black. The CB'ed layer is the swirl pattern, turned upside down, and swiped with black ink. I thought the back of the pattern looked more Asian. I stampd the horse in Versamark and embossed with Detail Black EP. I died the grosgrain ribbon black, used a HH ribbon slider, and folded 3 pieces on the right side of the card. The vertical stripes are slivers of CS. The sentiment, *It's your Birthday! So get off your HARSE and Celebrate!*, (which I made up!) is computer generated. Finally, I've given it some it some *bling* with tiny white brads and Swarovski crystals.
I hope you like it, and thanks for looking!
Maddy

How cool is this card? Fantastic job Maddy! I love the Fine Lace bg and all the details are amazing. Love the ribbon with the slider that looks like a belt and the ribbon tabs are great. The image and sentiment steal the card though. Super job as always!! Love ya! TFS

HEY, WHERE DID IT GO? I JUST LEFT A COMMENT AND IT'S DISAPPEARED ALREADY. ANYWAY, THIS IS A GREAT LOOKING CARD. I LOVE ALL YOUR DETAIL, ESPECIALLY THE WAY THE ROUND LAYER WITH THE HORSE CONTRASTS WITH THE RECTANGLES. BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL JOB.
