This is my card for Beate's WSC #36 weekend sketch challenge and for a recent color challenge. I just got this stamp set, so I was very excited to play with it.
My card base is Green Galore cs. I stamped one of the background stamps with Green Galore ink (love that tone-on-tone look) down just the right side of base and highlighted the centers of the dots with my white gel pen. (I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig for perfect placement.) For the second layer, I stamped another of the background stamps using the huff and puff technique onto Kraft cs. I applied Tempting Turquoise and Green Galore ink directly to the stamp with the markers, huffed to remoisten the ink and then stamped. Again, I used the white gel pen to highlight the flowers' centers. It's kind of cool that the white pen picked up some of the turquoise color for a nice soft effect. This panel is layered on Tempting Turquoise cs.
Lastly, I stamped the sentiment onto Kraft cs with the same huff and puff technique, highlighted parts of it with the white gel pen, layered it on Green Galore and Tempting Turquoise cs and added the Hodgepodge Hardware piece and grosgrain ribbon. It's adhered to the card with Dimensionals.
I'm really pleased with the way this card turned out because it's all stamping. While I'll always love my designer paper, it was very refreshing to just stamp.
