Playing around with some gift ideas and they just happened to also meet this months Fan Club challenges! This is an altered suncatcher!
I found these clear arcrylic suncatchers at my local Ben Franklin five and dime store (yes where I live we still have one!) they have flat backs and at first I thought I'd just stamp right onto that with Stazon or something. However, this lightbulb went off in my head saying that I needed to add more color sooo....I colored some tissue paper with re-inkers and a spray bottle of water, dried it, stamped the saying, heated the acrylic and added clear embossing powder, while that was still hot I put the tissue paper on it, then continued to layer 2 more coats of clear e.p., trimmed the tissue paper by wetting it and pulling it away and called them okay - still think I need to tweak them some. I did a few in purples, a few in oranges, and a few in pink and celery (which was actually too light to show much color)
I wasn't sure what gallery to put these in, anyway thanks for looking!
