I started this little book a few months ago--DH belongs to the calligraphy club and wanted me to go when they were making cards. Well, I made this butterfly card/booklet and then you were supposed to fill it with beautiful calligraphy. Since I don't do calligraphy, I felt like I would mess it up, so it sat in the bag and waited for an inspiring moment. Thanks, Jen, for the kick in the rear to get this done!
The Wanted medallion was embossed in white on vellum and then folded over to use as an embellishment on the card.
I found butterfly quotes at the Quote Garden. The butterflies are little booklets and so I filled each wing with a different quote. The wings are stitched together with the thread. I left the thread hanging to be the antenna.
It really was quick to put together. The people in the calligraphy club were surprised at how quickly I finished mine. I just grinned and told them that I kinda make a lot of cards....LOL! The only layers are the two sets of wings for each butterfly.

Lovely words done in your lovely handwriting. This is difficult doing all that spacing just right. Great job!
