What a great sketch today! And the color challenge from Tues is such an unusual combo, I had to give it a try. So this is my combo card.
Since I really only have one SU color of c/s, I opted to use some multi color paint chips, I figured at least one green, one orange and one purple would come close. That's the theory, anyway.
What I did: Three paint chips were stuck together, side by side then small strips of the same colors were attached over the white lines of the chips. By the way, I discovered something a while back about paint chips that I thought I'd share, in case y'all don't know. The aggravating little printing that's on them, you know, the stuff you usually cut off or hide. It will erase. Use a good white eraser and it will come off. It leaves a little bit of a shiny area, but it's not very noticeable. I prefer it to the printing.
The flower is punched from a spray ink smash bg I did w/ some reinkers and a little lumiere paint for shine. I folded a lt green piece of paper in half, ran it thru the crimper, then cut out the leaf shapes. I rubbed the leaf ink over the ridges.
The orange bg and green strips were stamped with a linen texture bg stamp, edged w/ same color markers and I ran an H2O brush over the marker to bleed the color a little. The ribbon is actually three ribbons. The wider satin edge purple and two narrow dotted ribbons.
I added the buttons and dotted the centers w/ same color stickles. Did this to the flower center, too. The color circles around the flower were punched out of the lumiere bg and glued on. TFL
