Left page. These are pictures of my DD sleeping in her "Big Girl" bed for the first time. Also its kind of hard to see, but the flowers all have stickles in the center. The swirls are embossed with Tim Holz distressing embossing powder.
Journaling reads: Valentines Day, 2008. That’s a day I’ll always remember. Not because I got a nice necklace or because Tim and I went out on a great date. No, I will always remember because on that day I changed. On that day I went from being a baby’s mommy, to something else. That day you slept in your “big girl bed” for the first time. It’s almost like a rite of passage. You’re not just a baby anymore. For better or worse you really are a toddler now. I can’t go on pretending that you aren’t growing up, that you aren’t changing. Who you are is GROWing and evolving and as you GROW and change who I am must also change. So much of who I am depends on who you are. I must change as you change so that I will continue to be who you need me to be. The only One who will never change, never grow, but always be what you need is Jesus. Continue to GROW. love, mom.
