Created for the inspiration challenge. This is completely different from what I first started to do. This card just evolved as I went along. My first idea got set aside because I didn't like how it was turning out - really didn't look like the picture in my head. I ended up using ribbon instead of card stock and a butterfly instead of birds - they do both have wings, right?
The chipboard butterfly was made with my brand new cuttlebug combo embossing die. There is one die and four embossing folders that match the die cut. I really like that it is a elegant butterfly - not a cutesy one. I covered the chipboard with pearlescent ice blue brilliance ink, then heated it to dry it. Then I sponged brilliant blue around the edges and stamped the small swirl from priceless on one wing. I added rhinestones on the other wing and popped up the butterfly.
