This is for the Way To Use It challenge from this week. The challenge was to create a card using some sort of fashion reference. Well, this gave me an oportunity to use my Fashion Statement set, which although retired, is new to me. I really wanted to do a scene surrounding the armoire stamp. So, I drew a rug with my artist pen and wallpaper. Then I masked the armoire and stamped the hats on top. I colored everything in with watercolor markers and then used a water and brush to blend. I paper pieced the dress and cut it out and stamped and cut out some shoes. The walls still needed something, so I drew a couple frames and filled with dots of color (maybe flowers?). This is where I got into trouble; I wanted to draw a chair on the other side of the armoire, well it came out looking like a spider. I wasn't about to give up at that point, so I stamped the sentiment and layered it over my boo-boo. I added some white gel pen to the wallpaper and some gold pen to accent the armoire. I made the hanger with some gold wire. All edges are distressed with scissors and sponged with distress ink. TFL
