Grammatroll sent me a goodie bag which contained a standup card with directions. Thanks I am enjoying this challenge to make a standup card, so here is my card. Today is a messy day outside, and I took the day off......so I am stamping up a ball!!!!!
the card is 11 x 4 1/4. scored at 1", 2 3/4", 3 3/4", 5 1/2", 7 1/4", 8 1/4", 10" ..... cut slit in the 5 1/2" to 3/4" from each end.
I covered my cardstock with textured wall paper which looks like mossy grass.
Then cut 5 1/4" x 2 1/2" piece....I covered my paper with wallpaper(be sure to have slit in the center of the wallpaper, too. , then cut out around the banana tree and added a cut out monkey on the tree.
Thread the 5 1/4" x 2 1/2" piece through the center slot of the card. Align and glue the 2 centers (1" ends) and the 1" bottom of the 5 1/2 x 2 1/2" together(like a sandwich)
I then cut out the other monkey leaving a fold stand to attach him to the ground(sponged old olive on the piece. Cut out bananas, added black ink for more dimension on them. Put bananas behind the monkey's hand.
2 1/2" x 1 1/2" greeting card for front....I used the black ink to stamp on the thanks a bunch and added the vine. Then cut out around the vine and attached with snail adhesive.
This is a fun little card to make and I will definitely be making more of these.
This card is spoken for already, my neighbor's little girl loves monkeys...............
Thanks for looking
