Susan and I have been communicating about my SCS reluctance to 'stretch' when it comes to creating cards. Let me explain that reluctance: Everyone who uploads their cards is such an artist. I'm not there now, and in reality, I probably never will be there. My talents lie in other areas, but making cards provides immediate gratification for me, which is something I really like (and probably need, if the truth were known).
Susan knows I love art - especially photos taken in the early morning when there's fog. I have used art therapy in a previous career, and have embraced its value to one's soul. My closets and some walls are filled with my own photos that I treat as my own kind of art therapy.
Susan and all of you who have left me such wonderfully kind comments, I thank you. I know my cards are not of the same quality as any of yours, but I'm just going to tuck that feeling away for the time being as I continue to ‘stretch’ to reach the levels of excellence everyone here brings to this community.
Thank you again, Susan. Your card spoke volumes to my heart, and that's always a wonderful feeling!

I understand your reluctance. I've been stamping a long time and it took me over a year to start adding to my gallery but then I realized something. It isn't about who is more artistic or better at creating cards and gifts. It is about the 'stretch' within me and sharing something from my heart. Please share your work and let us enjoy watching you 'stretch'. We all have something to offer. ;)

Anne - I always love looking at your cards and I think they are every bit as good as others on SCS. Each of us have our own style and I think each of us thinks ours aren't "up to par" with others' work. Please know that yours are all great & a vauable addition to our community!

Anne, please keep sharing your cards and thoughts on here. This is not a contest to see who is the better card maker as I am also reluctant to put my cards on here too as I am my own worse critic. This place is all about sharing. So keep sharing the nice things that you do!

I know what you mean about quick gratification. That's what feeds my addiction.
Gallery: A collection, an assortment.
Nothing competitive to it!
Keep posting, you inspire me!
