This is for my weekly challenge with my Sassy friends. This week we were to use chipboard in some way. I happened to have over 200 lightweight chip coasters so I decided to put them to good use. I covered the front of each coaster with a sheet of Cosmopolitan DP by MM. I sandwhiched two coasters together and glued them with their fronts facing out. This gave the light weigh chip even more structure. I then rubbed the edges in Pretty in Pink Craft Ink. I used my CAD to punch the holes across the top of the chip and ran taffeta ribbon through the holes, then frayed the ends of the ribbon.
Next I ran a piece of Chip through the Cricut using the multicut function. It still did not cut all the way through, but my blade is a bit dull. So I ended up going over it again with the exacto knife to cut out the letter "b." I cut another "b" the same size and adhered it to the chip. I covered the entire front of the 'b' with some craft glue I had on hand and coated it with microbeads. I then vacuumed up all the microbeads that got everywhere ;) Finally I attached the 'b' to the book using some sticky strip. I added some post-it notes inside and rolled up a scrap piece of the inside dp and put it in one of my RSVP pens. I am hoping this will be a nice little something for a 13 year old friend of mine that I will see this weekend.
