I love the inspiration piece today. I guess y'all will have to trust me that I started out in that direction. But somewhere it just went off the tracks and took on a life of its own. I was inspired by the inspiration piece, so it's the inspiration that counts, right? Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
This is also another Limited Supply challenge from yesterday, since I used scraps again and no embellishing other than stickles and a glaze pen.
The top bg is scrap of batik I found in my stash. I made this a long time ago. This was done on plain old white wrapping tissue that I stamped the images in embossing ink and embossed w/ clear powder. Then I mixed a small amounts of dye reinkers in little spritzer bottles and added water. It was approx a 3 to 1 ratio (water to ink). Then I spritzed the tissue, placed it between two blank pieces of paper and ironed till dry.
I placed a piece of bright gold c/s behind the batik to bring out the color. The flowers were the only stamp I could find that reminded me of the inspiration piece. They were stamped on vellum scraps w/ the teal ink and embossed w/ the glitter ep. I cut them out and used thin foam to pop them up slightly.
The bottom half is Basic Grey dp scrap (Obscure). The birthday is section cut from the cb birthday folder and I rubbed a little white chalk ink over to highlight it. TFL
