I work for the National Cartoonists Society, whose annual meeting this year is in New Orleans. As soon as I saw this card -- FS49 Mardi Gras by notimetostamp at Splitcoaststampers -- by Sharon Johnson (notimetostamp), I knew I wanted to make a card for my boss using the new Flourishes Mardi Gras set. I toned my card down a little by removing the ribbons because I wanted to add a sentiment using their name. I found the same font (Curtz MT) in my Printmaster graphics program and used it for the sentiment at the top. I confess I used all the same colors as Sharon because they worked so well with the beautiful DP from Basic Grey. Not having two sizes of rhinestone embellishments, I used my glue pen and added some glitter to emulate the three small rhinestones on each side of the eye openings. There are bigger rhinestones on the corners.
Thanks, Sharon, you give me such inspiration! I hope my boss likes this card.
Edited: When I went to work today, I copied the meeting brochure, reduced it to 30%, folded it and stapled it as an insert to the inside of the card -- using photo clips to hold it down flat so the card would close.

Oh my gosh, this came great!!!! I can't believe you matched that font so so perfectly -- how cool!!! And what fun that the card is personalized to your company -- sounds like a fun job!!! I'm honored that you liked my card well enough to case it -- and isn't that new paper just luscious!!!! Do you get to go to New Orleans, too???
