Here is my card for today's sketch challenge! What a great layout!!! This is also my first card with my new watermark (all I can say about Photoshop Essentials is grrrr....)!
I wanted to use some colors that I don't pull out often, and I ended up using a color I have NEVER used. Handsome hunter has been hanging out in my rich regals hanging folder, and I thought today was the time to pull it out. I used the hunter as matting for all layers and for the ink of my main image, 3 small image panels, and on the gray background panel.
I used basic gray and very vanilla cs to balance the hunter. The large bg panel is vanilla and I stamped the weathered bg on it in going gray ink. The basic gray bg panel is stamped with the weathered bg in hunter. The three small image panels are very vanilla and I stamped the image from Stem Silhouttes on them in hunter. I tied a piece of going gray tafetta ribbon around each of these panels. The main image is stamped on very vanilla and is stamped in hunter. I used the ticket corner punch on this panel and it's hunter mat. I then sponged going gray ink around the edges of the vanilla.
I was thinking this card would make a nice sympathy card, it has a very calming look to it.
Thank you so much for looking and I hope you like it!
Oh yeah, I only used Stampin' Up products to make this card.
