The Serendipity Squares technique is really fun. All I did was chose 5 stamps I liked--they could be related, although mine weren't--and stamp them somewhat randomly all over a sheet of cardstock. You can add embossing, fancy paper, basically whatever you think is pretty. Then I cut it into squares, I think these are 1 inch, mix them up and lay them out randomly. Well, kind of randomly, as I did manipulate them a little to look a little more balanced. It's fun, because you never really know what you're going to end up with!
Oh, I forgot to say that the "Happy Birthday" is embossed in gold on vellum. It's a little hard to tell in the scan.
