The challenge is to use the masking technique so my king of the jungle was already cut out and thatÂ’s what I went with plus IÂ’m sick of flowers at the moment!
KRISTA - thank you for the challenge!
-The image panel took 25 minutes to create. Stamp on the lion and mask off then add the trees. Mask a straight line across to cover the ground area, with a ½” post it punch the moon and position.
-Sponge on lavender at the bottom, (sorry it doesn't show well in the photo- lavender is under the tree foliage) blue at the top; continue until the desired color is present.
-Reverse the straight line mask and sponge in the ground with varies colors then stamp on the grass.
-I also did a little artist brush work to blend the ground areas and streak some blue across the moon.
-Lion image is colored with artist brush and re inker.
-A ten second ink distress on the edges and assemble over the decorative paper which is all one piece.
-I punched 1/8” circle for faux brads. I glued one in place and then one on top for depth. I measured down from the corner and up from the paper and eyeballed the center one. Ok so they aren’t straight, give me a break…I have a bandage on my thumb and it feels like a baseball glove for this close work!
-I stamped the weave backgrounder on the card baseÂ…it had white Brilliance on it from the previous card and I had no time to clean it so it went right over the top and worked just fine.

Wow Roxie, this is fabulous! I love the lion skin as part of the background.
