It has been torture not being able to upload anything or participate in any of the challenges for the last month. Between the holidays and an early January vacation, there was no time. So, when I saw the technique challenge this week, I went a little wild, jungle wild that is. The challenge was to use this fantastic filled-heart. My little SU monkeys were just delighted to participate in my valentine project. I stamped the monkeys and watercolored them with re-inkers. Then, I masked them off and used my foilage stamps from MFT's It's a Jungle Out There and created lots of background and foreground jungle. I then stamped and cut out tons of the leaves and bananas and adhered them with glue dots. I added flower eyelets and inserted a brad in each. The heart template was reduced to fit the card, distressed a little and filled with all those bananas. I cut out a stamped vine to lay over the heart to tie it into the scene. I distressed a little bit more, and whew!.... it was complete. TFL
